Sampling Tailor
The Sampling Tailor is responsible for stitching garment samples as per buyer specifications, tech packs, and patterns. The role supports product development, costing, and pre-production approvals by delivering accurate, high-quality samples within deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Stitch garment samples (proto, fit, size set, salesman, pre-production samples)
- Interpret tech packs, measurement sheets, and pattern instructions
- Work closely with pattern masters, merchandisers, and designers
- Ensure sample quality meets client and company standards
- Suggest construction improvements for better fit or production efficiency
- Maintain correct seam types, stitches, and finishing as per specs
- Meet sampling deadlines without compromising quality
- Handle different fabrics (woven, knit, denim, etc.) with care
- Operate sewing machines and basic finishing equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sampling area
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent garment stitching and construction knowledge
- Ability to read tech packs and measurement charts

- Experience with industrial sewing machines

Pattern Master
The role of a Pattern Master (Manual/CAD) is extremely important to ensure that our high-fashion garments meet the highest quality standards and are produced digitally through garment pattern software(s). The main objective of this role is to create 100% accurate and efficient patterns and prototypes, along with possessing knowledge of various design techniques to develop the correct garment samples and ensure industrial reproducibility.
1. Key responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Interpret designer sketches, mood boards, and technical specifications to create precise digital patterns using CAD software (Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, or Tukatech, etc).
- Develop high-quality base patterns that reflect the designer’s vision while ensuring technical feasibility, perfect fit, and garment balance.
- Digitize and refine manual patterns, maintaining accuracy in measurements, seam allowances, grainlines, and notches.
- Create graded patterns for all required sizes, ensuring proportional accuracy and consistency across the size range.
- Prepare optimized production markers to achieve maximum fabric efficiency and reduce material wastage.
- Collaborate closely with design, sampling, and production teams to translate creative concepts into technically sound and reproducible garments.
- Modify patterns based on fitting reviews and ensure alignment with designer feedback for flawless final samples.
- Develop innovative pattern solutions and advanced draping or shaping techniques suitable for couture and complex garment structures.
- Maintain a digital archive of all CAD files, pattern versions, and technical documentation for easy reference and future use.
- Provide precise fabric and trim consumption data to the sourcing and production teams.
- Ensure all patterns meet the brand’s high standards of quality, craftsmanship, and aesthetic excellence.
- Stay updated with the latest CAD software advancements and luxury garment construction techniques.
- Support sampling and production teams during peak seasons to ensure timely delivery of high-quality garments.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement in pattern efficiency, fit accuracy, and overall garment finish.
- Provide support to the upper management whenever needed
QC & Packing In-Charge
The QC & Packing In-Charge leads a small QC team and take full ownership of final garment quality + packing operations, ensuring all items meet approved standards, are packed correctly, and are documented properly for smooth dispatch. This role requires someone firm, organised, and able to work under deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control (QC)
- Supervise and guide QC inspectors daily (in-line, end-line, final inspection).
- Ensure garments match approved sample, tech pack, and measurement chart (with tolerance).
- Identify and classify defects (critical / major / minor).
- Segregate rejected garments, coordinate rework with production, and re-check after correction.
- Maintain daily QC records and ensure QC coverage is followed correctly.
- Issue QC clearance before any item is packed.
- Escalate repeated quality issues and root causes to the Production/Operations team.
Packing & Finishing Control
- Oversee packing as per company/client standards: folding, tagging, polybagging, sealing, carton packing.
- Verify style-wise, size-wise, color-wise quantities before sealing cartons.
- Ensure packing area is clean, organised, and compliant with standards.
- Monitor packing materials (polybags, cartons, tissues, stickers) and report shortages in advance.
Documentation & Reporting (VERY IMPORTANT)
- Prepare and maintain:
- Daily QC report
- Rejection & rework report
- Final packed quantity report
- Create packing lists for each order (style code/name, size breakdown, quantities).
- Label cartons/boxes clearly with required information:
- Style code / style name
- Size range & breakdown
- Total quantity per carton
- Client/order reference
- Carton number (e.g., 1/5, 2/5…)
- Coordinate dispatch-ready handover with store/logistics team.
Coordination & Team Control
- Allocate manpower between QC and packing based on daily priority.
- Train QC team on measurement methods and defect standards.
- Ensure no packing happens without QC approval.
- Communicate mismatches, delays, or missing items immediately to management.
